Muslim Women Tunics and Kurties : A New Trend

There is a new and tasteful variation in Islamic clothing that has been observed in most societies, particularly in the west. The practice or custom of hijab is homogeneous yet it concocts a number of variations in the present. Hijab means covering. It was made compulsory for both men and women to dress modestly. Islamic women were required to dress up in a certain way in the presence of men who are not her brother, father, father in law or any other close relative. In most case, in the present context hijab refers to the head scarf of an Islamic woman which covers her head and her chest. This definition of hijab encompasses other Islamic clothing for women.  It includes the abaya, jilbab, chador, niqab etc.

Islamic clothing designers and manufacturers have ventured into a new style of clothing which although remains modest, yet falls quiet in place in the modern society.  Tunics and kurtis are being designed and made available at online stores for women. The Islamic kurtis and tunics are knee high and are required to be paired with appropriate pants. Without being dissonant to the principal of hijab that prohibits an Islamic woman of any immodest display the tunics are designed to blend into the modern culture. It has become a widespread emotion among Muslim women that devotion does not necessarily have to be drab or monotonous.

This has brought about a pleasant change in the traditional dressing of Islamic women in almost all Islamic societies all over the world. One can notice their transition from black and unicolored to beautifully colored and exquisitely designed abayas, tunic tops, Islamic kurties and other Islamic wears for women. All these clothing are made available to the Islamic women from every class and occupation. The working Islamic women wear the modern Islamic kurties and tunics to work yet confine themselves in the parameters of modest dressing. These tunics come in numerous colors and designs some of which are Royal viscose with draw string high waist for fall, fit & flatter, green snap button front viscose knit tunic, plain and classy with a stylized side scrunch for effects, bright pink viscose knit tunic with a cowl neck, royal blue balloon bottom snap button front tunics, green ribbon pleated neck with tie and self fabric, balloon bottom tunic etc. Perfect for summer and maternity wear. The relevant colors are season appropriate such as spring, summers and winters. Other than the vibrant colors, these Islamic tunics and kurties give special regards to the custom of hijab by not being loose and not skin hugging. Women also use them as maternity gowns. The anthem of the modern-age Islamic dressing codicil has become “fashion meets tradition”. Societies are readily and joyfully accepting this change. The most interesting bit is, and I have realized is that fashion doesn’t always mean crude or improper, it can also mean modesty and piety.

  1. I've been shopping from EastEssence from past many year, love the collection they have. I've seen the collection of haya islamic clothing, looked great. But since i've never shopped from this place before, i'm a bit hesitated if i should go for this place or not.
