Modesty

"Having a low opinion of yourself is not 'modesty.' It's self-destruction. Holding your uniqueness in high regard is not 'egotism.' It's a necessary precondition to happiness and success.”
― Bobbe Sommer

Anyone who thinks their value is achieved from their physical appearance or the amount of attention they can derive from men need to understand that they are minimising their existence to mere "bodies". Modesty is a powerful concept but only when we begin to love and respect our attributes as more then mere bodies of beauty and perfection. Our self perception plays an important aspect in providing justice to our entire being and our purpose of life. We are all here to play our part provided we give it a thought and recognize our areas of perfectionism.
If we perceive ourselves as capable, important, achievers, respectful, admirable and above all as a woman of substance we will strive to be better and inspirational as compared to someone who solely exists to ditch these virtues to look "hot".
Emphasize  on the innate beauty of being a woman. We give birth to generations. We bear the future. We feed and serve not to stoop but to hold our head high in nurturing our generations, not just physically but mentally too.
Celebrate women hood with a reality check of striking a perfect balance between beauty and substance as they go hand in hand to glorify the most beautiful creation on this earth, "WOMAN".

“It seems to be the fashion nowadays for a girl to behave as much like a man as possible. Well, I won't! I'll make the best of being a girl and be as nice a specimen as I can: sweet and modest, a dear, dainty thing with clothes smelling all sweet and violet, a soft voice, and pretty, womanly ways. Since I'm a girl, I prefer to be a real one!”

Fashion Belonging

Fashion is all about self-expression. Our beliefs, customs, upbringing, traditions, a sense of belonging with a perfect blend of trends, colors and season. I do not deny the fact that we should be aware of what is "in" and "out" but in keeping our fashion sensibilities constant we can achieve a self inspired look. We decide what we want to be perceived as and cloning is definitely not it. The world is our home and regardless of where we choose to nest, it does not require uprooting ourselves from our culture and beliefs just to be able to fit in an artificial acceptance of pretensions.
Contrary to this take pride in who you are to be able to communicate with the world and above all yourself because if you loose your sense of belonging you are ditching your pride. We are all beautiful and unique bound together by our own recognition. Our clothes are a way to communicate to the world 'who we are' and what we want to be portrayed as. A dress code which crosses all barriers of communication in silent interpretation.
Don't make yourself invisible by straying with the crowd. Be confident enough to stray away and shine bright in uniqueness.
Choose right look perfect!

The benefits of denim wear

Easily Accessorized

----------------------------
Denim has infinite possibilities, both in how you wear it, what you embellish it with, and the occasions it's appropriate for. You can adorn your arms with some cute bangles or a cool chunky necklace. If you're going out on a cold night, sweater it up with long metallic cardigans; it will give you a sparkling touch or pair it up with a big, metallic bag. To make yourself look more presentable, pair a blazer and some killer pumps. If you're going out on the town and feeling confident, try a pair of cute ankle booties.

Recyclable-
---------------
Nothing beats the effects of converting an old denim garment into something else, and that can't be achieved if you cut from fabric by the yard. Recycling garments into new looks creates a fab statement about personal style and freedom. With many people becoming more apprised of what they consume and how they dispose it, crafters are receiving a great many benefits in the form of new ideas, particularly when it comes to denim. Some of these projects including slippers, denim barrettes and quilts, and even scatter rugs that are all made entirely out of denim.

  Character-
----------------
Denim has many different lives, from dark indigo, to pale, soft and worn. The face and the wrong side of the material are different. The indigo color fades with wear and washing, and the material softens, shreds and frays in appealing and lovely ways.

Comfort-
--------------

Denim is perfect for lounging.

The more worn denim is, the more comfortable it becomes. Some people even wash their denim more often just to make it wear out more quickly.

Hence "Denim re-interpreted" is our new range of Abayas/jilbabs and tunics suitable for all our Muslimah sisters hard at work.

The Modest Islamic Clothing for Men

For many non-Muslims possessing some knowledge of the customs and the rituals of Islam consider hijab as a synonym for Islam. For those who are oblivious of the meaning and importance of Hijab, the simplest definition for it is modesty and devotion in dressing. Hijab is adhered to by both Islamic men and women. While the general understanding it would confine hijab to women, it is prescribed for men as well. The Qur’an specifies the requirement for men to dress modestly covering the area between the naval and to the knees.

Clothing for an Islamic man would comprise of loose, long-sleeved, ankle or knee length piece of cloth called the thawb or kurta. Kurtas are the Islamic men’s attire that reaches to the knee while covering the shoulder and the area between the naval and the knee. These are made available at a click. With a number of countries in the west increasing in number of Muslims, there has been an upsurge in the demand for kurta, kufi, shoulder scarfs and other outfit for Islamic men. Online shops and stores are rising up to the occasions as they seem to be able to provide a assortment of traditional Islamic clothing for men. The stores have kurtas and pyjamas, in different colors (mostly earthy tone along with black and white). White is considered to be an auspicious color as special celebrations have men wear white Islamic attire. A number of non-Muslims relate the colors to the religion. While islam has a conservative hold on its follower to wear modest clothing, the Qur’an does not speak about color. The use of colors is not discouraged, however in certain societies hold regard to colors and occasion. White being a symbol of purity is preferred to be worn at certain times. It is remarkable how specialised clothing lines which offer appropriate clothing. There are other dresses for Islamic men such as dishdasha which in preferred by societies concentrated in certain geographical regions. Kurtas and Sherwanis are more common of a wear even for non-Muslims and thus being overtly popular as compared to any other Islamic clothing for men. Islamic clothing online stores offer fine clothing made of superior quality fabrics for both men and women, which are region and occasion appropriate.  It is remarkable how specialised clothing lines which offer appropriate clothing are gaining an audience and this is only the beginning.

Styles of Hijabs from all over the world

The mid twentieth century marked the resurgence of hijab after a perennial phase of dormancy as a result of westernization. Hijab, the veil or the covering, is practiced by all women and young girl who attain a certain age. It started as combination of religion and culture of the Muslim conquest and the local, but got recognition as appropriate expressions from the Qur’an. The hijab marks its presence in a number of Islamic societies all over the world, giving it an exclusive touch of the local customs. For example in Middle Eastern countries black colored are most commonly worn while colored and embroidered ones have been popular and are gaining popularity in Jordan and western counties mostly.

Designers are waking up to this as specialized stores and websites are offering a variety of abayas andhijab along with other traditional dresses are coming up. The stores and websites range massively in uniquely designed, color balanced and modest style of clothing for Muslim women from all over the globe.
The common hijab styles available in market today are

Square Hijab
These are worn in the parts of Eastern Europe and Southern Asia. Manufactured from the fabric polyester or cotton they are an alternative to rectangular hijabs. These come is multiplicity of can designs and patterns.
Women in different parts of the world wear hijabs differently. Women in Algeria liked the wrap-style headscarf. They choose a long scarf or pashmina which is then wrapped in such a way as to wrap the hair. This wrap style looks practical and unique. They do not wear a lot of safety pins. Usually they wear the hijab is combined with the Muslim clothing - abaya dress. While Kuwaiti Women love simple style, so they choose the clean hijab. Another style is to create a tight veil at the top and bottom of the falls in the neck with a pretty shape drapes. Turkish hijab style offers a modern style. The Turkish women usually wear a scarf from smooth and glossy material as the veil, plus a section in the form attached bandana tight in the face. Hijab can also be worn as a turban, but still with a simple style. Meanwhile, Just like Algerian, Egyptian Islamic women rely on layers style for her hijab. Even so, they usually do not just wear a kind of veil, but several types at once. With a style so they look more extravaganza veil for Muslim fashion, Egyptian women are very open to a variety of styles, some like to wear a black robe with beaded detail, but many also choose to wear casual.

All these styles of wrapping or wearing hijabs are mimicked outside their geographical regions as well. Varied wrapping styles along with the choice of fabric and material used and the shape and size of the hijab gives the Islamic clothing a modern outlook.

MUSLIM WOMEN SPORTSWEAR DRAWING ATTENTION OF ISLAMIC WOMEN

A research paper by the Birmingham Academics highlighted the prevalent prejudice against Islamic sportswomen as the high ranks had a Decalogue which did not accommodate the Islamic clothing. Though there has always been a political, cultural and religious resistance to participation which has deterred the participation of Muslim women in international sports.

For the first time, in the Bejing Olympics in 2012 women from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Brunei participated in a number of events. Roqaya Al-Gassra, a runner from Bahrain participated in a special one-piece garment and a headscarf and won the sprint. This was a precedent, and Saudi sportswomen will take part in the Olympics for the first time in one-piece-garments. The participation itself was sycophantic. This was a good sign for Islamic women as sometime after this the London Olympic Committee and the International Olymplic committee talked about letting Muslim women participants wear hijab during their football matches. Their argument against this was that it is unsafe to wear Islamic clothing owning to the use to safety pins which now has been diverged by using stickers in place of pins. Can this be looked upon as encouraging the participation of Muslim women in sports?  Georgy Tvaltvadze, a sports analyst supports the argument by stating that external appearance of an athlete should not distract him/her from the competition and moreover, disrupt them.
New fashions open new opportunities for women who are restricted by religions in choosing their dresses. Unambiguous advents such as upcoming clothing lines for women who are also sports enthusiasts reflect the change of winds. Online shopping stores and other shopping avenues are making available sports wears for Islamic women. Designers are exploring the untapped mines of explicitly designed sportswear and swimwear for Islamic women.
Muslim sportswear concurs to the law of hijab laid down in the Qur’an. The sports and swim wears are made available in vibrant colors and waterproof material at a number of Islamic clothing online stores.  They are also available with spandex hood swimwear with white lowers to match. With options available in color combinations, the stores offering Islamic styles clothing online would give a reasonable deal on their offering too. Women searching for Muslim sportswear online have found a number of avenues (e.g  Haya Islamic Clothing) that catalogue modest sportswear for Muslim women. Women looking for Islamic sportswear can now go online and order appropriate sportswear and swimwear for themselves.

Till sometime back the notion hijab carried with itself was of suppression of Islamic women which is now transforming is what the society considers liberating. Young Muslim girls and women with much devotion to their respective religion are looking for ways to integrate it with the present culture of their respective societies. They would wear hijab in the form of appropriate sportswear and swimwear which though perceived oppositely to the regular definition of the two, uphold the virtues of modesty.

Muslim Women Tunics and Kurties : A New Trend

There is a new and tasteful variation in Islamic clothing that has been observed in most societies, particularly in the west. The practice or custom of hijab is homogeneous yet it concocts a number of variations in the present. Hijab means covering. It was made compulsory for both men and women to dress modestly. Islamic women were required to dress up in a certain way in the presence of men who are not her brother, father, father in law or any other close relative. In most case, in the present context hijab refers to the head scarf of an Islamic woman which covers her head and her chest. This definition of hijab encompasses other Islamic clothing for women.  It includes the abaya, jilbab, chador, niqab etc.

Islamic clothing designers and manufacturers have ventured into a new style of clothing which although remains modest, yet falls quiet in place in the modern society.  Tunics and kurtis are being designed and made available at online stores for women. The Islamic kurtis and tunics are knee high and are required to be paired with appropriate pants. Without being dissonant to the principal of hijab that prohibits an Islamic woman of any immodest display the tunics are designed to blend into the modern culture. It has become a widespread emotion among Muslim women that devotion does not necessarily have to be drab or monotonous.

This has brought about a pleasant change in the traditional dressing of Islamic women in almost all Islamic societies all over the world. One can notice their transition from black and unicolored to beautifully colored and exquisitely designed abayas, tunic tops, Islamic kurties and other Islamic wears for women. All these clothing are made available to the Islamic women from every class and occupation. The working Islamic women wear the modern Islamic kurties and tunics to work yet confine themselves in the parameters of modest dressing. These tunics come in numerous colors and designs some of which are Royal viscose with draw string high waist for fall, fit & flatter, green snap button front viscose knit tunic, plain and classy with a stylized side scrunch for effects, bright pink viscose knit tunic with a cowl neck, royal blue balloon bottom snap button front tunics, green ribbon pleated neck with tie and self fabric, balloon bottom tunic etc. Perfect for summer and maternity wear. The relevant colors are season appropriate such as spring, summers and winters. Other than the vibrant colors, these Islamic tunics and kurties give special regards to the custom of hijab by not being loose and not skin hugging. Women also use them as maternity gowns. So if you are looking for designer Tunics and Kurties that you can wear casually or formally. Visit at http://www.hayaislamicclothing.com/Women/Tunic-Kurties-Tops

The anthem of the modern-age Islamic dressing codicil has become “fashion meets tradition”. Societies are readily and joyfully accepting this change. The most interesting bit is, and I have realized is that fashion doesn’t always mean crude or improper, it can also mean modesty and piety.

Hand Embroidery-A Traditional Art Form

Hand Embroidery-A Traditional Art Form……..

The art of embroidery dates back to ancient times. Decorating fabric with the needle and thread indicates that it originated actually due to lack of convenient resources, otherwise the human race has with test and times generated an idea that reduces human labor. In turn it gave birth to an art form that has no replacement in the present time also. Although the machine embroidery introduced uniformity, speed, precision, replication and above all reduced labor and costs.
This came as an advantage for the fashion conscious people from a budgeted income group. They could finally associate with the look and appeal of hand worked garment and barter for a cheaper lookalikes but better finish. I beg to differ as this was the point of satisfaction then the traditional art forms would arrive to a point of saturation. Hence there will always be a percentage of people out there who do not barter originality or traditions, not necessarily they belong to higher income group but to a culture of art and craft appreciation shared commonly.
From generations this art form has been passed on to younger, sharing the secret of invaluable beauty. The patience, intricacy, vision posture and technique involved in the procedure bears the end result “A complete Master Piece” born out of our own magical hands.
An art worth encouraging for keeping alive an ancient tradition. A Heritage Indeed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DRESSING

Although cultural integration is the healthiest outcome in the society living, yet our individuality is enforced by our senses of belonging to a country, culture or ethnic groups.
Traditional clothing has come in to preference as adaption for many designers and fashion houses. The prominence is due to our cultural roots reminiscing our glorious past. We even have colors associated for every occasion or religious groups. The way we dress define who we are, where we belong and what our beliefs are. Clothes are an expression of determining our identities.
Secular clothing can set us apart in recognition but is also bringing us together through an introduction to other cultures and beliefs. However different from each other we have a distinctive style of dressing identity.
In the end regardless of our cultural boundaries, clothing is an indispensable part of our living and requirement. Choose your clothing wisely and pay attention to your values.
